New Hospital in Offinso
As previously indicated, continuity of care and knowledge important to the urologishe care in the future.
So,In collaboration with the Ghana Health System we are building a hospital specifically for urological care located in Offinso, Ghana where Ghanaian doctors, young surgeons receive training in the field of urology.
This hospital is a government hospital that is part of the Ghana Health System and is not a private clinic.
It is important to realize that this hospital will be for the benefit of the Ghanaian people, and will be run by Ghanaian. There will, of course, knowledge and financial aid from the Netherlands, but the construction of the hospital is not completely generated by the Netherlands. In the future, the aim of the dutch wille be international cooperation and transfer of knowledge. The staff will be funded from the Ghana Health System. It is important to note that no distinction is made in ethnicity. Muslims, atheists and Christians are welcome and should cooperate in the future of this hospital and healthcare. The revenues of the hospital generates will be used for further development or will be used to pay for paying care of patients who have no money. The first nursing unit is ready. Click here to see

The construction of the second nursing unit was started and is sponsored by Ghana Commercial Bank. So funds for this fine project also come from Ghana itself. The foundation is finished.
In October, Prof. Dr. D. Pushkar will perform the opening of the new hospital. Prof. Dr. D. Pushkar is urologist and professor of the Moscow State Medical Stomatological University (MSMSU) urology department. Professor Pushkar is a specialist in the treatment of vesico-vaginal fistulas and has performed approximately 800 fistulas operations.
He will also educate 10 assistants of urology from the Netherlands during their training in urology in the tropics . Urological problems such as those typical in the tropics will pass in review and he will perform some operations in the Sunyani Regional Hospital.
